Why Actor Park Hae Jin Didn’t Want To Film Any Romantic Scenes With Lim Ji Yeon For “The Killing Vote”
Actor Park Hae Jin and actress Lim Ji Yeon have impressed viewers with their acting in the crime thriller The Killing Vote.
Since the two have great on-screen chemistry, some viewers wondered if there would be any romantic scenes between them. The actors revealed why that won’t be happening.
As a webtoon adaption, The Killing Vote changed a few details for a smoother transition. During an interview with Allure Korea magazine, Lim Ji Yeon confirmed that adding romance wasn’t one of those changes, saying Park Hae Jin was the reason. She said, “He didn’t want it,” as Park Hae Jin denied it.
As Lim Ji Yeon laughed, Park Hae Jin pointed out that it was all a misunderstanding. He responded, “I didn’t mean it like that. I don’t know how many times I’m explaining this.” He then shared what he’d meant.
Because the K-Drama is a crime thriller, Park Hae Jin realized that adding romance would take away from the main aspects of the show. Although she teased him, Lim Ji Yeon agreed.
It’s not like I didn’t want it. Because of the specific genre of our show, if there is a romance in it, it feels like it’s interrupting.
