Actor Reveals Just How Awkward Drama Sets Get During Kiss Scene Filming

“It’s very embarrassing. When we shoot the kissing scene, all the staff members are focusing on us and it’s completely silent.”

Actor Ji Hyun Woo is a master of romantic comedy films.

Starting from the movie Old Miss Diary, Ji Hyun Woo has starred in numerous romantic comedy movies and television series including Queen In-Hyun’s Man.

Of course, when you film so many romantic comedies, it’s impossible to escape the numerous kiss scenes and Ji Hyun Woo had some things to share about kiss scenes on the talk show Life Bar.

It is no secret that Ji Hyun Woo is very experienced with these kissing scenes. He has done it in front of a claw machine…

…On top of a hill…

…Under an umbrella…

…Very passionately…

…Abruptly…

…At night…

…During the day… and the list could go on.

In fact, host Shin Dong Yup noticed something that really set him apart as a true kiss scene master.

“Are these all dramas? But in one of those scenes, you were using your tongue…I guess to make it look more real…” ㅡ Shin Dong Yup

But even the king of kissing scenes has had extremely awkward moments. Ji Hyun Woo explained that the sounds produced while kissing in the very quiet studio make it very awkward.

“It’s very embarrassing. When we shoot the kissing scene, all the staff members are focusing on us and it’s completely silent.” ㅡ Ji Hyun Woo

He added that the awkwardness makes him very cautious about each small sound he makes with his lips or throat.

“Even small sounds like swallowing make me feel really awkward so I think I become more anxious.” ㅡ Ji Hyun Woo

Despite the awkwardness, however, the rest of the Life Bar members were nothing but envious of him!
