ASTRO’s Cha Eunwoo Reveals His Father’s Cute Reaction To His K-Drama “True Beauty”

His dad is his biggest fan!

In ASTRO‘s Cha Eunwoo‘s latest interview with Esquire Korea, Eunwoo revealed his and his family members’ reaction to his recent hit K-Drama True Beauty.

Though the K-Drama has ended, many people still hold a special place in their hearts for it. True Beauty was such a hit that Eunwoo himself was amazed at the K-Drama.

Q: How did you feel when you saw the reaction to the drama you released while filming?

It was amazing. Generally, there were a lot of pleasant reactions. The thing I loved most is that Su Ho (the webtoon character) now looks Cha Eunwoo (in the drama). It’s really nice to say that I can’t think of any other Lee Su Ho than Cha Eunwoo.

Furthermore, Eunwoo discussed the reactions of people closer to him. Much like the rest of the world, Eunwoo revealed his family members loved True Beauty, especially his father!

Q: How was your family’s reaction?

Other works were the same, but my parents really enjoyed this one. My dad said, ‘At this age, I can’t sleep on Tuesdays because I’m so excited to watch the Wednesday-Thursday episodes (laughs). When I asked what that meant, he said he was a little worried about his son when he was shooting his previous film. But I heard he was so immersed in this drama that he watched it with excitement.

Eunwoo continued and stated that his dad was so into True Beauty that he couldn’t even focus on work.

He said he waited until 11 and that he couldn’t focus on work. Because it wasn’t my mom who usually enjoys my dramas, but rather my dad who said that… I was really happy.

When asked about how he felt about his own acting skills, Eunwoo shared he feels he still has a lot to learn.

There’s still much to learn. It seems that it is still too early to judge myself. But this time, Lee Su Ho…I think it was the first time that I really felt what it feels like to be immersed in a character. There’s still a long way to go.
