If someone ever had any doubt that BLACKPINK are queens of K-Pop, then their recent accomplishments should definitely knock any of that doubt straight from that person’s mind.
BLACKPINK have always been on the top of their game. When they debuted they were monster rookies who took over the charts and broke a few records while they were at it too. With each new release, they continued to prove they are complete powerhouses and over the past couple of days they have reaffirmed their positions as queens of K-Pop.
A few days ago, BLACKPINK made history as the first K-Pop group to ever surpass 700 million views on a single video on YouTube. Now they’ve done it once again, by crushing not one but four records! Reaching another major milestone on YouTube, BLACKPINK became the first girl group to surpass 20 million subscribers.
This milestone also made them the first Korean act to ever achieve this and the 7th female act in history to do so! Not only that, BLACKPINK also surpassed Adele on YouTube which made them the 7th most subscribed female act!
Of course, BLACKPINK didn’t stop there either. BLACKPINK has also officially become the first K-Pop girl group to surpass 1 billion streams on Spotify! Congratulations on all the achievements BLACKPINK, you are true queens!
