The interview was filmed shortly after J-Hope’s solo debut performance as the first Korean artist to be a headliner at the famous Lollapalooza music festival.

In his first major performance without his six fellow BTS members, J-Hope rocked the stage and attracted over 100,000 people to watch him in person and over 14.9 million people to tune in online.

J-Hope wanted the performance to be perfect, from the stage to lighting details, the setlist, and every dance move.

While he tirelessly worked to meet his own high standards, there was one thing that was most important to him, and it showed J-Hope’s true personality.

Even while preparing for his historic solo venture, he only had BTS in mind, wanting everything to be perfect to live up to BTS’s hard-earned reputation.

He emotionally revealed that he didn’t want to tarnish BTS’s name, which led him to practice until his moves became second nature.

Of course, J-Hope gave an incredible performance with fans and locals raving, making ARMYs and his fellow members proud.
