BTS‘s Jimin, EXO‘s Kai, and SHINee‘s Taemin are all super talented and handsome!
All three of these superstar K-Pop idols are known for their amazing dancing, singing, and stage presence, as well as for their great personalities. Jimin, Kai, and Taemin are all also members of the “Padding Squad,” which is also known as “Padding Friends.”
This iconic squad also consists of Wanna One‘s Ha Sungwoon, VIXX‘s Ravi, EXO‘s Kai, BTS‘s Jimin, HOTSHOT‘s Timoteo, and non-celebrity Jung Kwon Ho.
Taemin once revealed that he always wanted to have a group of friends who wore padded jackets with matching logos. All the squad members took photos of their hands making peace signs, and Taemin created a logo with everyone’s hands included. Then, he gifted his friends matching padded jackets with the logo printed on them. Fans dubbed the group of friends the “Padding Squad” because of their matching jackets.
Jimin, Kai, and Taemin have had these matching jackets for years, but they recently rocked the same hairstyle, too! This year, these 3 “Padding Squad” members all were spotted with long black hair and silver highlights. Taemin wore the hairstyle first during his most recent solo comeback with “Advice.”
Taemin’s long hair suited his song’s theme of taking his own advice and doing what he wants even if people expect him to do something else. In the music video, he rocked lots of edgy, fashion-forward looks, and his hair looked great with all of his outfits.
Taemin served rebellious, punk-inspired vibes with his long hair. His “Advice” look was definitely one to remember!
While Taemin accentuated his hair’s punk qualities for his “Advice” video and performances, he showed a softer side with his long hair on other occasions, like in SHINee’s 2022 Season’s Greetings. Here, he looked like a super classy and dapper gentleman with an artistic side. His hair definitely fit the orchestral concept!
Kai also rocked long hair with silver highlights for his most recent solo comeback with “Peaches.”
Kai didn’t have long hair during the whole video. He only wore his long extensions in certain scenes.
He also wore them during a few performances of “Peaches.”
Kai served princely vibes with his long hair and silver highlights. He wore modernized hanbok (traditional Korean clothing) in the “Peaches” video and in his performances. Combined, his clothing and his hair made him look like an impossibly handsome prince who was visiting from the past!
Jimin has also been rocking silver highlights lately, but his hair is shorter than Taemin and Kai’s hair was during their solo comebacks.
Like his “Padding Squad” besties, Jimin looked incredible with his highlights. He was absolutely radiant during the PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE concerts in Los Angeles!
Although Jimin wore his hair shorter than Kai and Taemin, he recently posted photos from when he got his highlights. In the photos, he’s shown rocking super long hair!
He also posted a photo with shorter hair, which was closer to the length of Kai and Taemin’s hair during their comebacks.
Jimin served trendy, fashion-forward vibes with his silver highlights. His highlights added just the right amount of contrast to his black hair and added dimension to his look. Depending on the concept of the song, he was performing, he made the hair look either adorable or sexy!
Although these three best friends rocked their black hair and silver highlights in different ways, they all looked amazing!
