“Betrayal Sonyeondan” is back and craftier than ever!
Episode 121 of Run BTS! begins where the previous episode left off: with an investigation to find out who broke the valuable “ARMY headstone” and why. Was it Photographer Suga, Aspiring Actor RM, Rich Man V, Village Leader Jimin, Hairstylist J-Hope, or Arcade Gamer Jungkook?
Detective Jin was on the case, but even he couldn’t crack it easily. Everybody had a convincing alibi, but someone, or rather, someones were lying. BTS originally thought that a single culprit was behind this Mafia-style mystery, but Jin’s hunch proved correct: the culprit had a partner in crime.
Since Suga has a history of fibbing his way to victory, it’s no surprise that BTS voted to off him. Jin, predicting this, saved Suga (who turned out to be an innocent resident) not once…
From the very beginning, Jimin was a prime suspect too. Unlike the other residents, he hailed from another town. Could he be a Blue Village spy? Jin (and every member who voted to kill Jimin) thought so…
…but they were wrong! Like Suga, Jimin was innocent, but he wasn’t lucky enough to be saved.
The second casualty was J-Hope, also a villager. He was shocked when the other’s offed him, but the most shocking plot twists were yet to come.
It all came down to RM, Jungkook, and V. Two were guilty, one was innocent. All three had given the residents plenty of reasons to suspect them, but also reasons to trust them.
If V was a culprit, why would he vote for his own elimination?
Jungkook was acting suspiciously, but he isn’t known for poker face. Has his acting improved, or was he truly innocent?
(At one point he even accused the staff of trying to frame him!)
Then there was RM, the humble theater employee who came across as rational and trustworthy…
…until Jungkook pushed his buttons! After a flurry of finger-pointing, shouting, and accusations, the culprits’ identities were finally revealed. The residents who broke the ARMY headstone were (spoiler alert)…
…and V! Jungkook was one of the most suspicious residents in the village, but he was innocent after all.
The best part about this plot twist is that V clowned ARMY twice. He confessed to being the culprit before the episode aired, but many fans thought his “spoiler” was a trick!
