CNBLUE‘s Jung Yonghwa is returning to acting after a 3-year break! His last project was The Package back in 2017, though he also guested in P1Harmony‘s 2020 movie, P1H: The Beginning of a New World. His upcoming K-Drama Daebak Real Estate (literal title) shared a glimpse of its script reading along with an interview with the main leads, Jang Nara and Jung Yong Hwa.
The supernatural-comedy K-Drama is about a real estate agent and a conman who team up to exorcise ghosts from properties where people have died. It is set to premiere on April 14.
Jang Nara plays Hong Ji Ah, who is the boss of Daebak Real Estate and also an exorcist. She inherited her abilities from her mother. She appears to be perfect on the outside but is actually hot-tempered. Jung Yonghwa performs as Oh In Bum, a conman who pretends to be an exorcist and takes advantage of people who believe in ghosts.
During the script reading, the two stars greeted everyone as well as their co-stars, Kang Mal Geum, Kang Hong Seok, Ahn Kil Kang, and Heo Dong Won.
I’ll try to make it a fun set that you can feel happy coming to.

They went on in the interview to discuss why they each wanted to join this show’s cast. Jang Nara shared that she felt that the show had a different feeling than other scripts she has read. She said that the K-Drama contains various stories, pains, and sorrows that people can relate to.
Jung Yonghwa shared that there were many things that he had wanted to do, and it was all in one series. He added, “Also, more than anything, when I heard that Jang Nara was doing it, I thought, ‘I definitely need to do it.’”
Describing their experience at the first script reading, Jang Nara said, “It’s my first time doing a fantasy work, so I was really nervous, but when we all read it together, the things that I didn’t understand became clear to me.” Jung Yonghwa shared that everyone made the atmosphere so fun that he just wanted to start filming immediately.
Daebak Real Estate will be an entertaining and touching drama unlike what has been seen before. It’s an everyday exorcism drama with a new concept that looks at the human experience through the lens of exorcism. At the script reading, the cast deeply moved the staff with their passionate performances and their immersion into the script. Just like its happy start, it will be remembered as a good drama.
