Sexy New Characters From “Dead By Daylight” Are Sending K-Pop Fans Into a Frenzy

Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer survival horror game in which there are four survivors that have to outrun one killer (all five are players). It was created by Behaviour Interactive all the way back in 2016. However, it truly began to gain popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic due to everyone being home.
Now the game is gaining attention for its recent update titled “All-Kill,” featuring K-Pop-themed characters and perhaps an upcoming K-Pop-themed level. Behaviour Interactive teamed up with former member of U-KISS, Kevin Woo, and DJ Swivel, a Grammy-Award-winning Canadian music producer who has worked with K-Pop groups like BTS. The company enlisted their help to ensure the K-Pop industry and community were accurately portrayed.
The characters include one new survivor and one new killer. The survivor’s name is Yoon-Jin Lee, a music producer who worked for the new killer, a former member of the fictional K-Pop group, NO SPIN. The other members are killed in a fire with an unknown cause. One day, Yoon-Jin hears the intro to one of his new solo songs and recognizes some familiar screams.
Her skills seem to all have a theme of rising above others and making sacrifices to make it. One of her quotes states, “Something I learned in the industry: when the ax is swinging, keep your head down.”
The killer’s name is Ji-Woon Hak, who goes by the stage name “The Trickster.” Born a natural entertainer, Ji-Woon soon became greedy for more attention, not liking that the fans’ love was split between five members. This began his descent into madness as he began killing.
His skills have an obvious theme of the entertainment industry with moves named “Starstruck” and “Hex: Crowd Control.” One of his quotes slyly comments, “Enjoy this moment, few get so close.”
Unlike the other killers, Ji-Woon is not masked, a creature, nor is he horribly grotesque. In fact, he’s just a sexy K-Pop star with a bit of blood. Thus, now making him a fan favorite.
K-Pop fans quickly flocked to the game just to get the chance to play as the new character, and many were praising his resemblance to real K-Pop stars. The most popular reference was Hongjoong from ATEEZ.
This didn’t stop there, as fans soon realized that if you wait in the lobby long enough, Ji-Woon turns to the camera to wink at you.
Needless to say, he has been absolutely breaking the internet.
