A Disfigured Chinese Woman’s “Fairy Boyfriend” Goes Viral
Many say a sign of true love is not asking yourself what you want from them but realizing that you would do anything for them.
A man in China has gone viral for taking this idea to heart and going to great lengths to care for his severely burned girlfriend.
In 2017, a young woman with the last name Tian from a city in China’s southeastern province of Jiangxi suffered burns while caring for her uncle’s children. The blaze caused 90 percent of her body to be covered in burns.
At the time of her injuries, Tian and her boyfriend, Yin, had only been dating for a month. To her surprise, Yin decided to stick around and take care of her instead of leaving her.
In the seven years that the couple has been together, Tian has endured thirteen rounds of surgery, spending more than $145,000 USD on medical bills.
Her parents sold their assets and took out bank loans to cover her treatments, but only got enough to cover some. Tian also stated that Yin has gone into significant debt to help her stay current with treatments.
In addition to supporting her financially, Yin also gives Tian daily massages, applies her medication, and cooks meals on top of his work schedule.
According to the news source that originally reported this story, Yin’s reasoning for not getting married proves that he genuinely loves and has no other thoughts but Tian.

Tian also shared that she wanted to wait until she was “more perfect” before marriage. Netizens referred to Yin as a “fairy boyfriend” for all the care he has shown Yin through the years!
