Eagle-Eyed Fans Spot Girls' Generation Taeyeon's Unexpected Phone Lock Screen

Girls’ Generation has gone all out for their comeback in celebration of their 15th anniversary.

After five years, they’ve returned to music shows, recently performing their new title track, “FOREVER 1,” on Music Bank and Show! Music Core.

They also performed as a whole group at SMTOWN LIVE 2022, causing both the members and fans to tear up at their touching reunion.

Their group promotions wouldn’t be complete without fun appearances on variety programs, such as Knowing Bros.

Not only did they appear on variety programs, but they also starred in their own variety show, Soshi TamTam.

Soshi TamTam aired its first episode on July 5, ahead of Girls’ Generation’s comeback. Its final episode will air on August 23, for a total of eight episodes.

The show has been a nostalgic walk down memory lane for SONEs and a fun way to get to know the members for new fans.

In the show’s sixth episode, eagle-eyed fans spotted Girls’ Generation leader Taeyeon‘s phone lock screen, which was an unexpected crossover with another one of K-Pop’s biggest second-generation groups.

Fans noticed that the image used as her lock screen was familiar and recognized it as a photo of the Air Force 1 Low x PEACEMINUSONE Para-Noise sneakers. The $200 USD shoes were released in November 2020 and were designed by fellow second-generation K-Pop artist BIGBANG‘s G-Dragon.

PEACEMINUSONE is a fashion brand that G-Dragon co-founded in 2016 and is popular among fellow K-Pop idols.

Fellow Girls’ Generation members Hyoyeon, Sooyoung, and Tiffany have also been spotted rocking shoes from Nike and PEACEMINUSONE’s collaboration line.
