ENHYPEN’s Jungwon Shows His Professionalism As He Prepares To Be A Special MC
ENHYPEN‘s Jungwon took over for his member Sunghoon as a special MC for Music Bank in early February.
At the time, Sunghoon was resting from his then-recent rhinitis surgery, which is why Jungwon helped out.
Fans ended up loving Jungwon as an MC, especially since he was interacting with IVE‘s Wonyoung, someone fans had been hoping Jungwon would interact with. Since Jungwon and Wonyoung are the same age, both finished first in survival shows, and have similar names.
Fans especially loved the adorable “won won cross” that the two created for their special MC greeting.

Jungwon did an exceptional job as an MC, with fans even realizing how thoroughly the idol had highlighted his MC cards.

And how naturally he interacted with the other artists.

But a recent video on ENHYPEN’s YouTube channel only left fans more impressed with Jungwo’s performance as MC.
The video shows Jungwon in the waiting room of Music Bank, constantly practicing.
Jungwon is shown practicing his script from the moment he sits in the chair for the hairstylist…
… To the minute he is finished getting ready and can have the actual MC cards in hand.
After the idol comes back from a practice reading with one of the scriptwriters, Jungwon admits that “it was difficult.” And that he has more respect for Sunghoon now that he knows precisely how difficult it is to be an MC.
As it gets closer to the show, Jungwon only gets more nervous.
Confessing to the camera that he talks faster when he gets nervous, so to do a good job, he needs to pay attention and slow down.
Once more, returning to practicing his script, Jungwon even works on repeating the same lines over and over again, working on perfecting every detail, including the inflection of his voice.
Jungwon even turns to the staff filming him, asking if he’s doing an okay job with his practicing.
The diligent idol practices his thoroughly highlighted script right up until the time he’s supposed to go on stage for recording.
But despite all his nervousness, as soon as Jungwon is back after they’ve finished recording, he tells the camera that “it was a great experience.”
And with how phenomenally well Jungwon did as an MC, fans can only hope that the idol will get more chances to share his hosting talents in the future.
