ENHYPEN Ni-Ki’s Nickname Has The Sweetest Meaning, Even If He Forgot He Had It

It’s okay, he remembered quickly.

When ENHYPEN‘s Ni-Ki was asked about his nickname, he claimed he didn’t have one. But he does, and it has the sweetest meaning.

ENHYPEN recently played a game of “I Dare You” with Teen Vogue, where they chose to either answer truths or partake in fun dares.

During his dare, Ni-Ki discovered he could successfully juggle three random (and breakable) objects.

But during his truth, he was tasked with something much more straightforward. Answer the following: “What is your nickname and why?”

Though he initially claimed he doesn’t have one, the members quickly pointed out that he has several nicknames. Notably, “Nishimura-Manimura.”

Ni-Ki then explained that “manimura” is like saying “eat a lot.”

But when he tried to give context…

…he suffered an untimely voice crack. Though the members laughed, he smoothly recovered and continued explaining the nickname.

Since Ni-Ki grew much taller in the span of one year, he believes the nickname came from fans encouraging him to eat a lot.

Nishimura is Ni-Ki’s surname, so it makes sense that the nickname “Nishimura-Manimura” would be a good reminder for the growing idol to eat plenty.
