It’s no surprise that everyone wants to look their best for official images. When posing for things like passport photos, many have discussed ways of looking their absolute best, even creating a trending make-up style to ensure images are perfect.
This same sort of practice happens worldwide, including in South Korea, where harsh beauty standards even affect those outside the entertainment industry.
To combat that, people posing for ID-style photos have taken to having their images edited to AI levels of perfection. While photography studios like @celion.studio take more natural style images…
… many have been edited beyond what many would call necessary. On an online forum post, netizens recently discussed some of these extremely edited images shared by another photographer.
Several of the headshots shared show the individuals with their skin airbrushed to perfection…
…perfectly placed make-up…
…and almost unsettlingly balanced features.
Comments on the post discussed these aspects of the photos, even admitting to thinking the images were from the virtual reality game The Sims.
Others even said that the images were a bit frightening.
What do you think about these images?
