A Flashback to BTS V’s 2015 Playlist Will Show Off Just How Diverse His Music Taste Is

Basic music taste? V can’t relate.

ARMYs are well aware of BTS and their playlists on Spotify, but if we take a trip down memory lane to V‘s old 2015 playlists, we’ll see just how diverse his music taste actually is.

V had posted his playlist on to Twitter back on November 3, 2015.

One thing is for sure: He is fond of Western artists. His playlist didn’t feature a single Korean singer or group.

To start, he loves pop songs. We see tracks from Taylor Swift, Pia Mia, DNCE, Alessia CaraMeghan Trainor, and more. A notable song on the playlist is DNCE’s “Cake By The Ocean.” He must have been so excited to see the song live during this year’s Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs).

He also appears to be very into rap and R&B. He has tracks from T. MillsG-EazyRihanna (pictured below), Corinne Bailey Rae, and Che’Nelle on his playlist and they are all well-known for either rap or R&B.

Another interesting genre he seems to be into is Latin Pop. He has song one of Prince Royce‘s song, “Lucky One”, on his playlist. Prince Royce is well-known for being a Latin Pop singer.

He also has quite the collection of indie and soul music. Lianne La Havas, Laura Izibor, James Ingram, Nathaniel, Birdy (pictured below), and Travis Garland are also singers of this genre and V seems to have plenty of songs by them!

He also has one alternative-rock song and it’s by post-Britpop group Starsailor.

V also seems to be into EDM tracks. We can see songs by Tove Lo and The Chainsmokers on his playlist. V must have been so happy to collaborate with The Chainsmokers for BTS’s song “Best of Me”.

One artist that shocked a lot of people was Charice. Charice, who now goes by Jake Zyrus, is a Filipino pop singer who gained popularity in South Korea after being invited to guest on the show Star King in 2007. She had even performed a duet with Super Junior‘s Kyuhyun!

V’s music taste, even in 2015, showed off just how diverse and refines his preferences were. If you want to check out what song he’s into now, check out his Spotify playlist here!
