A Former Inkigayo Photographer Admires This K-Pop Idol So Much They Became His Fansite

When a K-Pop group makes a comeback, their promotion cycle includes appearing on several networks’ weekly music programs like MBC‘s Music Core and KBS‘s Music Bank.

At the music shows, in-person fans can watch the group perform their title track, while fans at home still get to see them through show recordings posted on YouTube.

One of the fans’ favorite parts of the show is the high-quality photos shared by the program after the show. Of the networks, fans seem to love the images shared by SBS‘s Inkigayo the most, often waiting in anticipation for them to be shared.

It’s easy to see why — each idol seems to be captured at their best while in action on stage.

Fans were recently shocked to discover that after leaving their position as an Inkigayo photographer, this person began walking an unexpected path — that of a fansite master!

Fansite masters, referred to as simply fansites, take photos of their chosen group member at as many events as they can attend, often traveling the world to capture images. These photos help promote the artist, leading to viral moments like this one of IVE‘s Jang Wonyoung at the 2022 Melon Music Awards.

The former Inkigayo photographer became the fansite of none other than Stray Kids‘ Hyunjin!

The fansite, known as Hignifiant, shared a message revealing their former identity and declaring their love for Hyujin while sharing gorgeous 4K photos.

Fans reflected on Hignifiantt’s choice of Hyunjin over all the other idols they must have photographed in their career and were proud the former Inkigayo photographer picked him!
