Girl’s Day’s Yura Exposes The Hate She Received For Her Villain Roles In K-Dramas

She became the target for viewers’ hate.

Proving her talents as an actress, Girl’s Day‘s Yura hasn’t been afraid to play the villain in the K-Dramas Find Me in Your Memory, Forecasting Love and Weather, and Destined With You. While some fans have been disappointed that she’s played the bad guy so often, others have very different reactions.

Beginning with her Forecasting Love and Weather role, Yura experienced the most hate comments she’d ever received. But there was an unexpected twist.

I starred in a drama called ‘Forecasting Love and Weather.’ In the [drama], I commit adultery with Min Young’s future husband. And I felt like I got all the hate I would’ve gotten throughout my life.

Because she’s only playing a role, Yura expected hate comments to be directed at her character Yu Jin. The opposite happened.

Yura personally became the target of viewers’ hate. They didn’t think twice about using her real name to curse at her.

So I wished people would say, ‘I hate Yu Jin!’ But instead, everyone was like, ‘Yura, that b*tch!’ Everyone was cursing at me.

The actress understood viewers’ feelings but reminded them to direct their anger at her characters. Yura said, “Yes, feel free to curse at [my character]. But they cursed at me, not the character!
