Girl’s Generation’s “Gee” Is 9 Years Old, And Yes You’re Ancient

I still remember the first time I saw this music video…

Girls’ Generation is undeniably the most successful K-Pop girl group that has ever existed.

Formed by SM Entertainment in 2007, Girls’ Generation reigned at the top of the K-Pop for over a decade.

There was one song that gave them their super boost to their mega-stardom, and that’s none other than “Gee”.

The single was released in January of 2009, which makes it almost 9 years old now!

With its catchy tune and signature choreography, the song talks about a girl’s affection when she falls in love.

In the video, all the members seem so young, as they were in their late teens and early 20’s when the song was released.

With this signature song, Girls’ Generation claimed 1st place on KBS Music Bank a record breaking 9 times, becoming a household name in Korea, and never let go of that title.

It was a global mega-hit as well, as the video is just about to break the 200 million views.

Watch it again and sing along to Gee Gee Gee Gee baby baby baby:
