Best friends GOT7‘s Jackson Wang and actor Ahn Hyo Seop have been honest about how tough trainee life was for them.
Despite training under such a big company like JYP Entertainment, the two revealed just how poor they’d been before debuting.
When Jackson and Ahn Hyo Seop had a meal in Japan while filming Celebrity Bromance, the former couldn’t help remembering their trainee days. Jackson pointed out their limited meal options, “Do you remember? When we were trainees, we couldn’t eat what we wanted.”
Jackson recalled how he and Ahn Hyo Seop would look at a restaurant’s menu and realize it was out of their price range. He shared their thoughts back then, “‘That’s expensive. Let’s not eat it.’”
Ahn Hyo Seop didn’t forget those tough times of not having enough money. He said, “It was my wish to not worry about money.”
They were so poor that they had to ask their parents for help. But Ahn Hyo Seop refused to do so, never giving up. All of their struggles paid off.
The two best friends have become famous for their talents and are doing well enough to eat whatever they want now.
