At Rick Owens‘ 2022 Spring/Summer Paris Fashion Week, he stunned everyone with his outfit. All eyes were on him!

He definitely looked runway-ready as he walked in high-heeled boots. Only a true professional model could pull these off!

Now, Mark has revealed that the heels were not always part of the outfit. Originally, he planned for a much more comfortable pair of shoes.

Recently, he was interviewed by Teen Vogue as he promoted his new single, “Last Breath.” Of course, they had to talk about his iconic appearance at this year’s Paris Fashion Week.

You definitely made a statement when you attended Paris Fashion Week. What inspired the outfit where you wore the heels?

Mark shared that Rick Owens actually contacted first, showing the look of the full-body leather suit along with its accessories, much like what Mark ended up wearing. There was just one major difference: no high heels.

[Rick Owens] actually sent us the look first, and there was a full body leather suit with a coat on top and a beanie and sunglasses, and [the model] was wearing sneakers in the picture and then we said, ‘Okay, that’s a dope look.’

When he received the outfit before heading to the event, he was sent two choices of high heels but not sneakers as he originally planned for.

So when the outfit came in the morning, instead of having the sneakers they gave us these heels, and there were two different heels. There was one that was all black and there was one that was clear.

Mark was skeptical about the heels and debated about wearing them. But after his friends’ encouragement, he went for it!

At first I was really contemplating whether or not I should wear the heels, but my friends said, ‘This is fashion week. You’ll only be able to do this here. Show the world and make a statement.’ I was like, ‘Okay, fine let’s go for it.’
