The Set For “Hell Is Other People” Is Delightfully Dark And Creepy

Art director Park Jae Hyun has really outdone himself this time.

Viewers got a closer look at the set of Hell Is Other People ahead of the drama’s premiere tonight.

This upcoming mystery thriller is about an aspiring novelist named Yoon Jong Woo (Im Siwan) who moves to Seoul for career opportunities. However, he finds himself in a hellish situation when he moves into his strange dorm building.

The dorm is called Eden Dormitory and it is the vision of art director Park Jae Hyun. He enlightened viewers on his project:

My goal for this project was to create a dormitory that felt humid and bleak just by looking at it, with a dark, long, cave-like hallway and rooms with tiny windows resembling a prison. I wanted to express the stress of being in a strange place and the vague fear of unknown strangers as a space of Eden Dormitory. At the same time, I had to maintain the possibility of this kind of place exisiting in the real world.

It’s going to be very exciting to see this set to come to life during the premiere of Hell Is Other People.
