Henry Discusses Role In “A Dog’s Journey”, Need For Diversity In Hollywood

Henry talks about how it feels to see himself on the Hollywood big screen.

Henry (formerly of Super Junior M) discussed the need for more racial diversity in Hollywood while discussing his role in A Dog’s Journey.

On May 7, the idol-actor guested on the KTLA 5 Morning News to talk about his upcoming Hollywood debut in the sequel to A Dog’s Purpose. Henry plays opposite Kathryn Prescott as her love interest, Trent.

Henry described A Dog’s Journey as “a film that talks about love in basically every sense”. That includes “love for your pets, love for your family, love for your loved ones”.

After watching a clip of himself in the movie, Henry shared what that felt like as an Asian actor.

It’s actually crazy because I know there aren’t many opportunities for Asians to be on the big screen here in Hollywood and I just think it’s a right step in the right direction, especially because we need more diversity in Hollywood. So, I’m really proud. I’ll try my best to be the best that I can.
