We’ve all fallen in love with the romance between Shin Min Ah and Kim Seon Ho‘s characters “Ms. Dentist” Yoon Hye Jin and Chief Hong Su Dik in tvN and Netflix‘s healing K-Drama Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha. Still, there is one underrated relationship from the show that deserves some more appreciation.

Until he was released, fans were curious about how the show could introduce a second male lead to compete with the practically perfect Chief Hong. Yet, the writers surprised us with Lee Sang Yi‘s character Director Ji Seong Hyun.

He certainly has his own charms, one being how sensitive and non-toxic he is. Even after being rejected by the woman he has loved since college, he recognized how much he valued his friendship with her and Chief Hong. So, naturally, he chose not to harbor jealousy and remained a good friend to the couple.

In fact, Director Ji and Chief Hong have quite the bromance in the show, and viewers love it!

Well, it turns out that the actors have much more in common with their characters than just having the same face. In real life, Lee Sang Yi and Kim Seon Ho have a bromance too!

In behind-the-scenes footage from filming Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, Lee Sang Yi even surprised Kim Seon Ho with a gift on set!

Guess you could say he liked it, so he put a ring on it…

Kim Seon Ho was surprised by the gesture and teased him about it. But it was clear that he was touched by it!

No one can question Lee Sang Yi’s sincerity about his co-star either. In any interview now, he looks for the opportunity to praise Kim Seon Ho.

The person who makes me most happy these days is… Kim Seon Ho. I feel so excited and fun to go to the set. Work can’t always be fun. It can be exhausting sometimes. Sometimes I feel lazy to go work. But, these days, I have so much fun at work.
