These popular K-Pop idols have broken the stereotype that idols can’t act with their tearful, and heart-wrenching acting scenes.
Many K-Pop idols have starred in several films and dramas, such as Lee Joon of MBLAQ and T.O.P of BIGBANG. They have proven done their outstanding acting skills despite the stereotype that K-Pop idols can’t act. Now, there are even more idols that have broken that stereotype with amazing and heart-wrenching scenes- such as EXO‘s Baekhyun and BTS‘s V.
1. BTS’s V
BTS V’s first acting role as the young and innocent Hansung has been very impressive, and endearing- it was hard not to be just as sad as his sweet Hwarang character was in this scene. V is truly a skilled actor.
2. EXO’S Baekhyun
Baekhyun’s tearful scene in Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo was a heart-wrenching moment, the scene was incredibly realistic and moving to watch. Baekhyun certainly proved that idols can be excellent actors with his emotional performance.
3. SHINee’s Onew
SHINee’s Onew impressed everyone with his incredible acting skills in last year’s hit drama Descendants of the Sun. Who couldn’t help but cry with him after his incredibly moving work?
4. EXO’s D.O.
D.O. has proven in countless roles that K-Pop idols can indeed act, and his acting in It’s Okay, That’s Love is definitely one of his best. This twisted and complex character proved D.O has what it takes to be a serious actor.
5. MBLAQ’s Lee Joon
Lee Joon originally debuted with MBLAQ, but left to focus on his acting career with everyone’s full support. This idol is an excellent actor and puts his heart and soul into every role, and every moment of every scene.
