ITZY’s Ryujin and THE BOYZ’s Juyeon Both Danced To A Billie Eilish Song, But Had Totally Different Vibes

They both nailed the songs’ tone, but had completely different interpretations

Studio Choom‘s “Artist Of The Month” for November was ITZY‘s Ryujin, who danced to Billie Eilish‘s “Therefore I Am” with a creative, fun and even cheeky choreography. However, she’s not the only idol who performed a Billie Eilish song as “Artist Of The Month”; back in September, THE BOYZ‘s Juyeon also chose to dance to Billie Eilish, performing the song “you should see me in a crown.” Yet, while Billie Eilish is known for her unique style, Ryujin and Juyeon’s interpretations of her songs couldn’t have been more different.

Ryujin’s choreography is more lighthearted and upbeat (though still maintaining the cool vibe of the song), and features plenty of cheeky facial expressions that give the whole performance a quirky, yet confident personality.

In fact, many fans loved the expressions Ryujin makes, which really lent just the right touch to the vibe of the song.

Juyeon, on the other hand, went on full intensity mode and delivered a darker, more moody performance that also fits the tone of his chosen song.

Also, this isn’t the first time Juyeon performs to Billie Eilish, as he has attracted many fans through his performance of ‘bad guy’ with the 1MILLION Dance Studio and THE BOYZ members Jacob, Sunwoo and Q. It makes sense that he would feel personally connected to Billie Eilish’s songs, and hence that he would choose to perform one as Studio Choom’s “Artist Of The Month.”

Both Ryujin and Juyeon are incredibly talented dancers, and they both did justice to their chosen songs and to their concepts. The fact that they had such different interpretations of Billie Eilish makes the songs even more interesting!
