IVE’s Wonyoung And Music Bank PD Bangeulyi Melts Hearts With Their Relationship In New Reality Show
Monster rookie idol group IVE has taken the K-Pop scene by storm with their hit singles “Eleven” and “Love Dive.” Their new comeback song, “After Like,” has had a similarly strong positive response from audiences, cementing them as a powerhouse group.
The girls have been invited to many reality shows because of their newfound success. Recently, they appeared in a spin-off of the hugely popular Korean variety series 2 Days & 1 Night titled 2 Days & 1 Night Idol Version.
The girls had the chance to roleplay as the head staff of the show. IVE members Gaeul and Yujin played the roles of the writer and PD (commonly used term in Korea for “production director” or “producer-director,”) respectively. The other members were the usual guests.
The episode started slowly since the girls weren’t used to running a reality series. Thankfully, they could call a friend, PD Bangeulyi, who was the show’s former director!
PD Bangeulyi was polite and greeted IVE warmly since she was probably expecting a call from them.
Then her tone completely changed, becoming more excited when she heard Wonyoung’s cute voice! The two must have a strong relationship since Wonyoung is one of Music Bank‘s presenters, a program that PD Bangeulyi directs that features the performances of many famous K-Pop stars.
When asked for advice on how to make a successful reality show, PD Bangeulyi first said that it’s essential to listen to the PD in charge! Yujin was delighted.
She also said that having over-the-top reactions was a fundamental step to having an entertaining series! Writer Gaeul was excited to hear that since she emphasized that the girls needed to have high energy from the beginning.
Before she ended the call, Yujin asked PD Bangeulyi about the main difference between directing Music Bank and 2 Days & 1 Night. Her answer? Music Bank has the lovely Wonyoung, of course!
Wonyoung’s face broke into a huge smile. The group ended the call with Wonyoung declaring her love for PD Bangeulyi and them promising to see each other for their Music Bank shoot the next day.
The rest of the shoot went smoothly, thanks to PD Bangeulyi’s sound advice. All celebrities must hope to have a chance to work with her!
