The Diet So Dangerous That 5 K-Pop Idols Warned Everyone Not To Try It

It will only harm your health.

Since weight management is part of how K-Pop idols maintain their image, many go on diets—often due to pressure from their companies. While some promote healthy eating and regular exercise, some go on diets so extreme that they’re dangerous. Unfortunately, KARD‘s J.seph was part of the latter, taking dieting to such an extreme that no one should ever try his diet plan.

When Eric Nam asked J.seph about his current diet on the Daebak Show, he mentioned staying away from any foods that were “strong-tasting.” He then revealed that his previous diet was much more strict.

J.seph shocked Eric Nam by saying he “wouldn’t eat at all.” Instead, he consumed an extremely unhealthy substitute for solid food.

J.seph said he only drank “coffee and water” during that time.

Making the diet even worse, J.seph would drink “zero sugar soju” on an empty stomach. He confessed, “And I would have some pieces of tomato. One tomato per bottle.

The diet was so dangerous that Eric Nam warned viewers, “Everyone, don’t try this.” Despite being the one who did it, J.seph also agreed it was unhealthy. They weren’t the only ones concerned, either.

You should never do it this way. …It’s not good for your health. It’s ‘not healthy.’

Because J.seph lost an unhealthy weight of 9 kg (nearly 20 lbs) in less than a month, the rest of KARD also agreed it was “very extreme” and shouldn’t be done by anyone.
