How LE SSERAFIM’s Sakura Reacts To Hate Comments

“If I’m criticised for no reason, I assume that person was bored.”

On the latest episode of her YouTube reality show Fearless Kkura, LE SSERAFIM‘s Sakura challenged herself to successfully fangirl with a nerd. Though a lighthearted episode, during one of the challenges Sakura got candid about her reaction to any hate comments she receives.

The LE SSERAFIM star usually has a guest she does multiple challenges with during every episode, this time, to fit in with the theme of the episode. it was a voice actor — Nam Do Hyeong. He has voiced popular characters in games that are played by millions worldwide, such as Genshin Impact and League of Legends. Nam also is the Korean voice actor for characters like Mickey Mouse and Spider-Man.

After completing the third and final challenge, which involved a treasure hunt, Sakura and Do Hyeong started having a heartfelt conversation while preparing food together. They discussed why they love games and cartoons, with Sakura sharing that helping main characters overcome their challenges and reach their dreams cheers her up.

As thoughtful as ever, Sakura asked her guest if he ever had a hard time when acting out voices for different characters. Nam responded honestly, revealing that when his work receives bad evaluation and feedback he goes through a hard time.

This prompted the staff to also ask Sakura how she deals with hate comments and bad feedback. Her response was as honest as her guest’s as she shared that if she receives hate about something that’s not her fault she “[doesn’t] care.”

The idol then revealed that if it was something she did wrong that triggered the bad comments and feedback, she decided to “be more careful.”

Sakura explained that as idols have to keep smiling whenever they’re on the stage, she simply tells her self that time is on her side.

Fans seem to have appreciated Sakura’s honesty and loved her mindset toward hateful feedback. The comments under the video posted on YouTube are full of netizens praising Sakura not only for being an entertaining and lovable host, but also for having such a positive and healthy mindset.
