Park Yoochun‘s fans recently shared one last letter to the fallen star on a Korean online community called “dcinside”.
The final letter reads as follows:
“When that one fan shouted, ‘Look up at the sky. I’ll pray for you’, that was her desperation talking.
But in the end, you left us with a painful wound.
I wonder when it started. Every time we think of you, it makes our heart ache…
I wonder when it started. We can no longer cheer you on with the way you’re living…
We finally understand why they say a star and fans are like water and oil which cannot mix together.
We took the long route around just to find ourselves at the last station accompanied by pain.
We didn’t know. Since we thought we could support you forever.
We now understand what you meant when you said, ‘I was afraid to let myself go.’
Because we were also afraid to let you go…
But it’s now time to go our separate ways, so we’re going to let go of your hand.
We hope you take as much time as you need to think until you’re able to relieve all of your burdens.
Please just remember that you’re not standing on the edge of a cliff.
Even though we can’t continue to cheer you on, we’ll watch as you walk away from your life as a star…
So from now on, please live as Park Yoochun, the person, and make sure you don’t live in a way you’ll regret.”
