Woman’s Botched Plastic Surgery In South Korea Ends In Disturbing Facial Scar

A woman is suing a cosmetic surgery clinic for USD $140,000 after a chin repair surgery left her with a facial scar.

Ding, from China, originally had fat grafting in South Korea, which caused swelling, then tried to fix it with liposuction. She later turned to a clinic in Jiangsu that promised to restore her chin.

After spending 20,000 yuan (USD $3,000) on the surgery in February, her chin developed massive blisters just days later. Despite being told it was “normal,” the wound worsened until it became infected.

Doctors at a major hospital later confirmed the clinic had given her dangerous and incorrect advice, resulting in permanent scarring.

Ding says the experience destroyed her life, forcing her to shut down her business, end her relationship, and battle depression.
