The Real Story Behind TWICE Nayeon And Jeongyeon’s Marriage Registration, According To Nayeon Herself
ONCEs know that TWICE‘s Nayeon and Jeongyeon are very good friends. Not only can they always be spotted together, they’re also so close that they’re completely comfortable around each other. It’s common to see them making fun of each other and doing cute poses together.
And just last month, they took their friendship to the next level! Well…sort of.
In an Instagram Story, Jeongyeon shared a picture she took with Nayeon. She could be seen placing her arm affectionately over the “POP!” singer’s shoulder. They were holding up a sign that contained the words, “We registered our marriage!”
What really happened that day? Nayeon shared the story in an interview with ELLE KOREA.
Laughing, she explained that she and Jeongyeon went to the local district office to renew their passports that day. As a fun joke, she asked Jeongyeon to take a picture with her holding the sign, and the rest is history! It was a fun way to spend the time waiting.
Have you been to the district office? I had to renew my passport. Jeongyeon and I were waiting for our passports to be renewed. You can take a commemorative photo [in the office.] I asked Jeongyeon to come over, so she took a picture.

However, a “marriage registration” isn’t the only photo she took that day. She hilariously also took a birth registration picture! Marriage and birth—Nayeon really experienced many “firsts” that day.
