SEVENTEEN Vividly Remember Two Unexpected Details From Their First Win Stage
SEVENTEEN achieved their first win on a Korean music show in 2016 with their song “Pretty U.” It’s definitely an emotional moment to watch and the members remember it well — except the things they remember are totally surprising!
In an interview with ESQUIRE Korea, SEVENTEEN members Vernon, Mingyu, S.Coups, and Wonwoo fact-checked some online profiles of their group and also reminisced on their careers so far.
When it came to their first win performance, Vernon said that he remembered the day well, especially what he did while waiting to go on stage: eat fried octopus!
Wonwoo backed up his story and explained that after releasing “Pretty U,” their menu options for backstage food got “a little better.” They weren’t just limited to kimbap anymore but could also choose between stir-fried octopus with rice or pork with rice!
Mingyu took the reminiscing a step further and claimed he even remembered a smell from back then. The other members didn’t believe him at first until he said that the clothes given to them by the stylists had a specific smell; Vernon, S.Coups, and Wonwoo knew exactly what he was talking about!
