Stevie Wonder Personally Reached Out To BTS To Have Them Be In His MLK Memorial Campaign

And their message is inspiring!

On April 4, BTS posted a mysterious countdown timer with the hashtag #DreamStillLives on their social media. Soon after, the timer ran down and they posted a link to Stevie Wonder‘s video introducing the Dream Still Lives campaign.

The campaign is a project to honor the late civil rights activist Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. It aims to honor his spirit and express his dreams, all while encouraging others to express their own.

The video featured a number of big names including former president Barack Obama, Katy Perry, Sir Elton John, Jamie Foxx, and BTS all conveying their own wishes.

But what may be most exciting is that Stevie Wonder personally asked BTS to take part in the project.

It’s believed that he was impressed with the groups’ “love yourself” message on their fifth extended play “Love Yourself: Her”. Because of this, he sent a written request to BTS to participate in the mini-film.

And we were blessed with their inspiring message!

“The dream still lives and our dream is that people love themselves.” — RM

But perhaps the most important thing is that this project lets people from all over the world express their own dreams and encourages people to make the world a better place.

BTS’s participation in the project will allow this message to spread even further!
