“The Glory” Writer Kim Eun Sook Is Even Shocked At How Well She Wrote Part 2
Netflix’s original series, The Glory Part 2, has dropped on the platform, causing fans to cancel all plans to binge-watch the new episodes. Most recently, writer Kim Eun Sook and the main cast gathered for a global GV event to discuss part two.
For the first part of the GV, writer Kim Eun Sook, director Ahn Gil Ho, and actress Song Hye Kyo attended the event. Kim Eun Sook commented, “I’ve been a writer for 20 years, but I’m nervous because it’s the first time I’ve ever attended an event like this. Thank you so much for putting together this event.” Song Hye Kyo also expressed her feelings about attending, “After coming here, I could feel in person just how popular this drama was.”
Regarding the show, Kim revealed, “Part 1 was terrifyingly good, so I re-read the script for part 2 again.” Director Ahn added, “As much as I had high expectations for Part 2, I worked hard to achieve a higher degree of perfection.”
During the Q&A session with fans, many asked questions regarding popular scenes, lines from the show, and behind-the-scenes stories. Song commented, “It was difficult and sad to express a character with a lot of pain, but it was so meaningful to show that there is hope for a character like Moon Dong Eun. It was really more of an honor.”
The Glory Part 2 is the story of a woman whose soul was shattered by childhood violence and who meticulously prepared for vengeance. The show dropped all episodes at 5 PM KST.
