Korean Transgender Reveals $93,000 USD Plastic Surgeries

The hosts gave her solid advice.

A 39-year-old transgender woman who revealed she has spent ₩140 million KRW (about $93,400 USD) on plastic surgery opened up about her concerns regarding further procedures.

On a recent broadcast of Ask Us Anything Fortune Tellers, the guest shared that while she has already gotten extensive surgery done, she still wants to get more.

“I’m a 39-year-old hanbok model. I’ve spent about ₩140 million KRW (about $93,400 USD) on plastic surgery, but I still want to get more. I’m debating whether I should continue or stop.”

When asked what procedures she had undergone, she explained that it started with her face before moving to her body.

“Starting in my early 20s, I had my eyes and nose done, then facial fat grafting and breast augmentation. My chest became too large. After the surgery, my back and shoulders hurt a lot, so I had a revision to make them smaller. Then I developed inflammation and had to undergo another surgery, which cost ₩25.0 million KRW (about $16,700 USD).”

Due to medical malpractice and side effects, she ended up having six breast surgeries alone. In addition, she spent a total of ₩140 million KRW (about $93,400 USD) on procedures including facial fillers, philtrum reduction, lip fillers, lip corner surgery, lifting procedures, and a nose revision.

“I am actually transgender. I even had voice feminization surgery. They said I just needed to not speak for a week, so I went to Thailand for it. Among all the procedures, I’m most satisfied with my voice surgery.”

When asked about side effects, she claimed that while she did not hurt physically, there were some emotional struggles that she had to go through.

“In my early 20s, after coming out, I dated a man. I admired how he had no prejudice, and we dated for three years. We were serious enough to discuss marriage, but suddenly he stopped contacting me. Later, when I finally reached him, he told me he had gotten married. He said, ‘I’m sorry. I have to marry a woman and have children.’ I felt so miserable. Later, I dated another man for five years. We met naturally through a gathering and became a couple. I thought we would eventually drift apart, but our feelings grew deeper. One day, he said he wanted to have a baby that looked like me and live happily together. I couldn’t stop crying. I thought, if I had been born a biological woman, I wouldn’t feel this way. In the end, I had no choice but to break up.”

Despite everything, she admitted she still wants more surgery.

“When I look in the mirror, something still feels slightly lacking. When I go to plastic surgeons, they tell me not to do it. They say, ‘Only do it if you want to die.’”

The hosts advised her to think twice.

“Getting surgery is your decision, and it’s for your own satisfaction, so no one can stop you. But these aren’t simple procedures, they’re real surgeries. You’ve already had over 20 operations. Doctors are already warning you about the risks. It’s clear you’ve had many procedures. From now on, it would be better for your health and for yourself to focus on looking natural. No matter what we say, if you want to do it, you probably will. But if I could say one last thing, I hope you learn to love yourself as you are now, continue your modeling career, and meet a good partner to live happily.”
