TWICE’s Nayeon And Chaeyoung Reveal Why No One Asks Them Out On Dates

No one has ever even tried!

TWICE‘s Nayeon and Chaeyoung recently appeared on Lee Young Ji’s My Alcohol Diary to promote their new single, “Talk That Talk.” The show’s concept is to loosen up guests with alcoholic drinks so that they have an easier time being open and sharing their honest thoughts and feelings.

It was the first time any TWICE member had been interviewed while drinking. The three immediately got comfortable and forgot the cameras were even there. Nayeon even changed into Lee Young Ji’s pajamas!

Lee Young Ji didn’t hold anything back and immediately started asking questions idols are usually blocked from answering, like “Are you guys dating anyone?

Usually, idols dodge these questions by saying they’re too busy to date or their fans are their partners. Maybe it was the alcohol or the experience of having been famous for almost 7 years, but Chaeyoung suddenly burst out and said, “It’s really interesting how no one ever asked me out!

She said that not only had no one ever asked her out while she was an idol, no one had ever asked her out in her entire lifetime!

Nayeon quickly explained, “People often feel pressured after listening to the name of our group. They don’t even try to know us.”

They smoothly transitioned away from the topic after that.

It’s great to see TWICE and other idols feel more open talking about themselves. As long as they volunteer the information willingly and their privacy isn’t violated, it could be a sign that less pressure is being put on them to be flawless on and off the camera.
