What do TWICE‘s Nayeon and American singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo have in common?
Besides both being pop icons…
They have similar styles!
So, naturally, their fashion choices have overlapped once or twice. In fact, they have worn two of the same tops before. Still, they make the fits stand out from one another despite similarities.
The first top in question is the Bad Sheep Corset from luxury brand Fanci Club‘s Fall/Winter 2021 collection. It costs $380 USD.
Olivia Rodrigo rocked this corset as part of her red carpet premiere outfit for her Disney+ documentary OLIVIA RODRIGO: driving home two u in March 2022. Seventeen described it as “‘SOUR’ meets ‘Bridgerton’ vibe.”
Rodrigo’s corset styling was exactly as the designer intended as she wore it with matching elbow-length gloves and a low-waisted pink mini-skirt. The black platform-heeled shoes and sheer knee-high socks just completely elevate the look even more, though!

Nayeon wore the same corset in June 2022 during a photoshoot for her track “Happy Birthday To You” from her solo album IM NAYEON. Covered in bows, Nayeon represents that she is our gift.
Considering the corset has four large bows on the front, it fit the concept. Her styling was very different from Rodrigo’s, though. The only similarity was that they both wore matching gloves. Nayeon wore a high-waisted black mini-skirt with sheer black stockings (with tiny bows!) and hot pink high-heels. And rather than wear her hair out, she wore pigtails with bows!
Olivia Rodrigo’s was edgier, while Nayeon’s was especially cute!
The second top they have in common is the Vivienne Westwood Tartan Fargo Cotton & Wool Corset Top. It costs $1,040 USD.
On May 15, 2021, Olivia Rodrigo was the guest performer for NBC‘s Saturday Night Live. She performed her hit song “Good 4 U” and radiated the teen pop-punk energy of the early ’00s.
Rodrigo achieved this vibe with the plaid matching set consisting of the corset and loose-fitted trousers. The chain and chunky combat boots totally complete the punky Y2K fit!
TWICE released the English single “The Feels” in October 2021. One of the many iconic looks Nayeon rocked for this comeback included the same corset top.
She, too, captured a punky Y2K vibe like Rodrigo but with her own personal style. While Rodrigo’s hair was decorated with braids, Nayeon’s was with hairclips, and she opted for a cute pair of high-heels vs. boots. She also wore the matching skirt over pants and layered it with a graphic T-shirt and wristwarmers that totally fit the concept.
So, while both pop princesses have their own unique way of styling the same pieces, one thing is for certain they both slay Y2K aesthetics!
TWICE x Olivia Rodrigo when?
