TXT held their first world tour in 2022, ACT: LOVE SICK, with the group visiting 19 cities throughout Asia and the United States between July and October.

Early during the tour, fans expressed concern for Beomgyu’s health as he exited an interview with Rolling Stone early, looking visibly unwell, and left the stage during their concerts in Atlanta and Bangkok.

Despite feeling unwell, Beomgyu earned praise from fans for persevering and continuing with the tour, showing his dedication.

For the group’s second tour, Beomgyu was determined to overcome his health struggles by finding ways to strengthen his physical condition.

I kept experimenting by trying different things to check if I still felt my best after. I tried not eating before concerts, drinking energy drinks some days, taking arginine on other days. In the end, I found it’s always best to eat and having one multivitamin is enough to give me energy without putting a strain on my body.

Beomgyu works hard to overcome any challenges and assures fans that he knows he was born to be on stage.

Although he has fun on stage, he admitted that being on tour can be “emotionally draining” for him due to the “different views” throughout the world that “[he] had to learn to adjust” to quickly.

Beomgyu added that he also became “more introverted” after his debut, adding that he found it challenging to communicate with people while promoting and touring.

That was a difficult process. Not to mention I became a lot more introverted after we debuted, so I found it really hard communicating with all those people while promoting internationally. The pressure from that kept weighing on me while we were touring.

Beomgyu is learning to overcome those challenges as well and went out of his way to interact with people more during the group’s ACT: SWEET MIRAGE tour.

I went out of my way this time to go up to people more and reacted to things in over-the-top ways despite my terrible English. But it was pretty good. I think I’ve learned some ways to overcome things.
