TXT’s Taehyun Reveals The Story Behind His Iconic Confetti Tears After The Group’s “M Countdown” Win

It was a memorable day for TXT and MOAs!

TXT was the latest group to sit down with Esquire for their Explain This segment. During the video, the members reacted to various moments, memes, and public appearances.

After reminiscing about the time the members sang “Love is an Open Door” from Frozen, TXT saw a picture that took them on a trip down memory lane. The picture showed Taehyun with confetti on his face acting as tears. TXT explained that it was from when the group picked up their first M Countdown win for the song “Crown.”

After seeing the image, Taehyun explained where the inspiration for putting the streamers on his face came from, and it wasn’t something that he just came up with on the spot!

Since my sister is a K-Pop fan, we’d end up watching music shows together. I’ve seen many number one artists do that on stage. So, I thought to myself, ‘I’m going to do that too if I ever become a singer and get number one on a music show.’

Taehyun and Soobin pointed out that they didn’t expect the cameras to not only film Taehyun’s pose but also stay on him for so long!

Hueningkai then explained how thrilled they were when they got their first win for the track a few days before the M Countdown performance. Yeonjun even added that they hadn’t expected it but thanked their fans, MOA, for their support during that time!

Even when they first debuted, TXT knew how to win the hearts of fans and is continuing to do it today! Make sure to watch the video below!
