TXT‘s Yeonjun may seem naturally confident on stage, but in his interview with Elle Korea, Yeonjun shared he actually had to build up his low self-esteem.
In his interview, Yeonjun revealed the harsh side he as and it’s how he’s constantly putting pressure on himself!
Q: Are you the kind to be influenced by external factors? Or are you the kind to work to meet your own standards for yourself?
Both. Other great artists, who debuted around the same time as me, or have similar goals, are definitely motivating when I see them. Even though I always appear full of confidence on the outside, on the inside, I’m the kind of person to put pressure on myself. You could say I kind of gnaw at myself? It’s a harsh side.
While Yeonjun admitted he can be hard on himself, he also shared that he was eventually able to increase his confidence. For his MOAs, Yeonjun gave lovely advice on how to achieve self-love as he did.
Q: What would Yeonjun say to those who want to know how to love themselves?
I hope they won’t forget that we’re all unique individuals. I don’t know what you’re good at, or what talents you have, however, I’m sure that everyone has something. I hope you’ll be able to find it soon. I also had really low self-esteem, but when I began dance, I also gained confidence. Like that, I naturally came to love myself.
