“Vincenzo” Actor Kwak Dong Yeon Reveals How He Felt About His Character’s Development During The Show

Despite starting the series off as a villain, Kwak Dong Yeon’s character Jang Han Seo in the tvN series Vincenzo quickly became a much-loved character. 

In particular, it seemed to be his character’s development throughout the show that made fans fall in love with him.

Kwak Dong Yeon recently sat down with The Swoon and read his fan’s supportive comments and compliments. One, in particular, touched Kwak Dong Yeon as they looked at his character and the way the series ended for Jan Han Seo.

For Kwak Dong Yeon, the character’s development during the series allowed the viewers to empathize and sympathize with him. He also saw the way the character met his end as the perfect ending to his story.

But right before he died, Vincenzo said this to him, ‘You deserve to be my brother.’ That’s what he always wanted to hear. He always wanted to be acknowledged and respected regardless of his position.

He also pointed out that it would have been the way Jan Han Seo would’ve wanted to go, cementing himself as one of the heroes of the series.

I’m sure he was happy to get what he wanted before he died. Han Seo sacrificed himself to protect those who meant something to him. I’m sure that made him think that he had finally become a human being.

There is no denying that Jan Han Seo will be added to the list of characters fans can’t help but emotional about. Yet, Kwak Dong Yeon’s portrayal of the character showed that everyone can change for the better.
