Yang Se Chan and Yang Se Hyung’s Shocking Family Background Revealed

On Where is My Home, comedian Yang Se Hyung revealed a surprising family background.

The episode of MBC’s entertainment show Where is My Home aired on the 25th featured a special Christmas edition titled “2025 Year-End Home Review.”

While revisiting the location scouting video near Seoul National University, the cast engaged in playful “academic background checks.” When Yang Se Hyung pointed out that there was no staff member from Seoul National University during the shoot, Joo Woo Jae countered jokingly, asking, “Have you even been near Seoul National University?” showcasing their lively chemistry.

During this exchange, Yang Se Hyung stunned the studio by unexpectedly revealing, “My father is a graduate of Seoul National University’s College of Agriculture.” He recalled that although he and his younger brother Yang Se Chan were far from studious, their father was a prodigy from a prestigious university, capable of mentally solving high school-level complex math problems effortlessly, impressing everyone.

What stood out even more was the stark contrast between his father’s “diamond-level” privileged background and his education philosophy. Yang Se Hyung explained, “My father was the typical elite brain who grew up in a wealthy family and even mastered private tutoring.” However, when it came to his own children, he insisted on a laissez-faire style of education, telling them “To live doing whatever they wanted.

Yang Se Hyung added with laughter, “Thanks to absolutely no pressure to study, my brother Se Chan and I grew up wildly, roaming freely through the mountains and fields.
