Mnet faces more criticisms for unfair stage distribution at “2015 MAMA”

The 2015 Mnet Asian Music Awards received not only praises but also controversies with this year’s ceremony in Hong Kong.

Immediately after the ceremony finished, netizens cannot help but point out the unfair stage time distribution, citing YG Entertainment and its artists with having the most air time. A list was uploaded on Instiz listing down the distribution of stage time with the artists invited to perform and caused strong reactions from the netizens.

For example, GOT7 released three albums this year but was only given more than three minutes to perform, while Red Velvet, who also released a full album this year, did not get a chance to performa. YG Entertainment, on the other hand, received more than ten minutes of stage time for each of their artists.

It can be recalled that prior to the ceremony, Mnet was speculated to have faced some troubles with a number of agencies along with rumours that SM Entertainment initially planning to boycott the event, while FNC Entertainment refused the invitation sent.
