The title tracks of various girl groups have taken fans by the storm this past season with their catchy dances and choruses.
Three songs in particular have caught the attention of fans due to their addicting and odd choruses. In fact, a common characteristic among the three is suspected as the reason for their popularity.
Sports Seoul notes that the three tracks which have steadily gained popularity due to their funny lyrics. These songs follow addicting tracks such as EXID’s “Up & Down.”
Red Velvet – “Dumb Dumb”
Sharing the same phrase as its title, Red Velvet’s “Dumb Dumb” features repeats of “Dumb Dumb” in the chorus as well. It complements the quirky concept of the track and its upbeat tempo too.

Rookie girl group G-Friend has won support for their fresh visuals and hard-working attitudes. Their latest promotion “Me Gustas Tu” uses a fun line of Spanish to express its concept of love. Not only, this the “tturu tu” in the chorus seems to be the icing on the cake.
MAMAMOO – “Um Oh Ah Yeh”
MAMAMOO has been known among fans for their cheerful personalities and powerful vocals. Their track “Um Oh Ah Yeh” pairs a full melody with an entertaining storyline. Finally, just as with the other two tracks, the addition of lines that seem to be nonsense sounds and words have made the song catchy and memorable.
