KARD’s BM Reacts To Photographers’ Mistreatment Of Stray Kids At The 2024 Met Gala

He was upset.

On May 6, Stray Kids made history as the first entire K-Pop group to attend the MET Gala. They looked amazing in their coordinated Tommy Hilfiger outfits as brand ambassadors.

Unfortunately, Stray Kids were also disrespected that night. Unprofessional photographers were heard being “disrespectful” to Stray Kids in a video captured by media outlets. Photographers were vocally rude and racist towards the members as they posed for photos.

Paparazzi 1: Never seen so many unemotional faces in my life.
Paparazzi 2: They’re like robots.
Paparazzi 1: Yeah, right.
Paparazzi 1: Now let’s do it with feeling!

Photographers should give directions while the subject poses. Yet, these instructions were condescending and mean. One yelled, “Everyone jump,” before another asked, “How do you say right in Korean?” While complaining about the members’ position, one joked it looked like they would begin performing. Photographers spoke some random Korean and Japanese to the K-Pop group too.

Netizens and publications praised the Stray Kids members, especially Bang Chan, for how they responded to the situation. Now, a fellow idol has reacted to the situation as well.

KARD‘s BM posted a GIF of Ye (formerly Kanye West) with the text “Square up.” He wrote, “My guys handled that situation with elegance.. put respect on their mf name.”

The post went viral with 537.4K views at the time of writing. Netizens were in agreement with BM.

We’re glad Stray Kids have supportive friends like BM on their side!
