Top actress Nam Gyu Ri revealed that she was once bullied by a group of other actresses. On April 16, 2024’s episode of Strong Heart VS, Nam Gyu Ri shared her experience.
She had not known that she had been a victim of bullying until a few years later. She claimed that she loved going out to meet other actresses whenever they gathered for a meetup. She tried to understand that as she did not enjoy socializing as much as other celebrities, they might have disliked her for that. She came to realize that they were calling her out on purpose to be the designated driver.
I didn’t know that I was being outcasted. I went for a few meetups of a group of actresses a few times because I genuinely wanted to. It took a few years for me to realize that I had been bullied. The moment I realized was when I realized that they called me to come the most whenever they needed someone to drive them home. We all agreed to meet up together, but they would always say they left their cars at home, and asked me to bring mine. Or they would me whenever we went to somewhere that was hard to drive to.

She truly realized when another actress who was a part of the group had ended up telling her after they worked on the same film together. It was difficult for her to identify herself as a victim of bullying, as the bullying was considered discreet and hard to pinpoint. Rather than outright bullying, it was more of a case of being taken advantage of, something which many netizens emphathized with.
