Idols Have Hilarious Meltdowns Over Chart-Breaking K-Drama

The tvN weekend drama Queen of Tears has captured the attention of global viewers so intensely that with each new episode, it breaks a new record. It seems like regular people are not the only ones immersed beyond expectations in this show, but K-Pop idols are, too!
The K-Drama, which aired its 13th and 14th episodes last week, left the viewers at an unbearable cliffhanger. The female lead, Hong Hae In (Kim Ji Won), after the excruciating amount of negotiations, finally agrees to undergo brain surgery despite the risk of complete memory loss. Her husband, Baek Hyun Woo (Kim Soo Hyun) promises to stay beside her the whole time, and be the first person to greet her when she wakes up post-surgery. Just as things start to look up, Hyun Woo is arrested by Interpol and dragged away from the hospital after being framed by the antagonist, Yoon Eun Sung (Park Sung Hoon).
With only two episodes left in the show, this sudden twist left viewers restless, including our beloved idols. After the episode aired, aespa member Karina got so worked up that she took to the fan communication app Bubble, sharing that the episode left her so frustrated that she ended up drinking a soda, presumably breaking her dieting rules just to let off some steam.
Sigh… I have so much I want to say, but I’m not going to. Ha… No worries, though, because I’m talking about a K-Drama. Haha… Haaa… I got so frustrated that I had to drink a can of soda.

It turns out Karina was not the only idol faced with this predicament. MAMAMOO’s Moonbyul also took to her Instagram to share her frustration with fans. She posted the scene of Hyun Woo getting arrested with a desperate caption: “Ah! This is not right…😩😩”
Fans have been amused to see how their favorite idols, too, are not safe from the clutches of a highly engaging drama like Queen of Tears. Meanwhile, the show has only two more episodes left, which will be aired on April 27 and 28, respectively. The finale will be followed by a two-part special episode as well!
