MUPLY and IdolLive‘s Muziekwang Company focuses on a fictional K-Pop company as a reality show. It features real idols: Muzie, LOONA‘s Chuu, CRAVITY‘s Hyeongjun, Lee Gi Kwang (also known as AJ), and MONSTA X‘s Joohoney, as well as actress Jung Yeon Joo.

In the latest episode, Muziekwang Company parodies the hit thriller series Squid Game. In this concept, the participants compete for their first paycheck, paid in ₩1000 KRW ($1 USD bills).

While the original show is rather dark, this version gives us many cute interactions of the starring idols! We definitely are fans of this Squid Game.

There is one moment from this episode, in particular, that has caught viewers’ attention, particularly MONBEBEs (fans of MONSTA X). During the fictionalized Squid Game, Joohoney is playing the famous ppopgi game in which the participants attempt to extract the shape out of the dalgona candy.

His methods are reminiscent of Squid Game star Lee Jung Jae‘s character Player 456 (also known as Seong Gi Hun). Who can forget this iconic scene?

The reason why this clip has gone viral among fans is not just because Joohoney is exceptionally cute though that be good reason enough to us. It is actually because he and Lee Jung Jae have a connection…

In September, netizens actually mistook Joohoney for Lee Jung Jae’s son after a TikTok featuring the two celebrities went viral. It caused some confusion online but gave many of us a good laugh too.

In reality, they are just fans of each other! Joohoney had shared the viral photos on November 29, 2020, on MONSTA X’s official Twitter account after meeting at the 2020 Asian Artist Awards.

I finally met my high school sunbae, ‘Lee Jung Jae’ sunbaenim and it was an honor! It was amazing!

It’s been a couple of weeks since the viral TikTok sparked the internet thinking that the acclaimed actor had an idol son. So, when viewers saw Joohoney essentially recreating the scene made famous by his “dad,” they couldn’t help but laugh.

Now MONBEBEs are hoping that this will go viral too! With the power of the internet and this great fandom, it looks like it has already happened!

Joohoney truly proved what a great actor he is in this episode too! We hope that he and Lee Jung Jae can soon reunite, perhaps this time as co-stars.
