Here Is The Special Reason Why BTS Don’t Attend Award Show After-Parties In The US

This is their #1 priority!

It’s no secret that BTS have a special relationship with their fans. In fact, the members have repeatedly stated that remembering and appreciating the support they get is always going to be important for them.

In an interview with Billboard earlier this year, Suga said, “We just want to be good to the people who love us. That’s what lasts in the long run.” Of course, BTS’ humility is one of the things that make fans love them even more. And the members never fail to follow up those words with actions, making sure to always show their fans how much they mean to them.

One of the ways in which they do this is by making sure to always come on live stream to personally interact with fans, even if this means skipping award show after-parties. For example, after a big night at this year’s 2021 American Music Awards, BTS skipped the show’s after-party and held their own little celebratory party in their hotel with fans on live stream.

According to the group’s interview with Billboard, this is their usual routine. BTS never attend award show after-parties in the US because their priority is making sure they stay connected with fans. RM explained that “It’s like a ritual for us.”

In turn, ARMYs are always ready to support BTS, which is what makes the relationship between the members and fans so special. This mutual appreciation is one of the things that has gotten BTS this far, and it’s amazing how much they take that to heart!
