After living through two years of the COVID-19 pandemic, people everywhere are welcoming the Year of the Tiger with hope for the future and gratitude for the present. Festivities for this annual celebration, which can last up to 15 days, include delicious food, family time, lantern festivals, and more.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, many people were unable to visit their loved ones for Lunar New Year 2020 and 2021. If you think two years feels like forever, try a decade! That’s how long it’s been since Jackson celebrated the occasion with his family.

“It’s been over 10 years since the last countdown with FAM,” Jackson tweeted. “Finally! Happy 2022. Something different MM.” He shared two photos of himself dining with his mother, his father, and two TEAM WANG friends.

One is producer and songwriter Isaac Han, who has worked with Jackson on numerous projects, including his autobiographical song, “王嘉尔 JACKSON WANG.” The other is Jackson’s bodyguard, Yang laoshi.

Being apart from his family hasn’t been easy for Jackson, especially during the holidays. In an interview Jackson said, “During Chinese New Year [. . .] there’s nothing, and I’m alone, missing my parents.”
